Classic Hotels and Resorts is seeking a guest services minded individual to provide human resources leadership and oversight for our Carmel Properties; the casually sophisticated Hotel Carmel (25 rooms) and the beautiful and historic La Playa Hotel (75 rooms).
This is an exciting hands-on opportunity to oversee all human resource generalist functions including, recruiting, on-boarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits. The position also is a member of the Safety Committee and is responsible for investigating, and processing of workers’ compensation claims. The upbeat professional promotes the Employee Recognition Program and is on the Fun Committee planning quarterly luncheons and events for our staff.
Additional duties include maintaining the associate uniform inventory and purchasing as needed. Also performs various administrative duties including preparation of time sheets, ADP Time and Attendance input, and issuing of time cards. ADP experience preferred but not required.
Must be knowledgeable of State and Federal labor laws and have solid human resources generalist experience (2 – 4 years).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, inspire, teach and encourage others. Ability to facilitate established mandated training programs (Harassment, BBP’s, Human Trafficking) to associates.
Ability to juggle priorities and multi-task a must!
Bi-lingual Spanish a plus but not required.
