Bellperson

Greet, engage with, assist and provide a HEARTfelt experience for our guests as you offer the very first, last and during their stay/visit most memorable of impressions! The Scott Resort & Spa has a special opportunity for a welcoming, friendly, energetic and service savvy Bellperson!

Summary of Position:

The Bellperson is responsible for representing the The Scott Resort & Spa at the main entrance and Lobby. They should enthusiastically greet arriving and departing guests according to our HEARTfelt values and BE standards. They may escort guests to their rooms, providing guests with a full orientation of the property, the general area, and the room or suite itself. They also assist departing guests with arranging transport as needed and storage of luggage.  we are seeking One Full Time and One Part Time; ideally must have open availability 7 days/week and shifts range between 7am and 11pm.

Essential Functions:

Meet and greet all arriving and departing guests with a friendly and sincere greeting, embracing and delivering our values and standards as specified.

Grasping, lifting, and carrying luggage and packages from vehicles to designated location, transportation or secure storage areas.

Escort guests to rooms and suites using our standards, visually inspecting rooms upon arrival and reporting deficiencies to the appropriate department for repair.

Issue luggage claim tickets at drop-off, read and match tickets at pick-up.

Develop a complete knowledge of all property amenities and general information about the property including pool hours, property services, local attractions, function spaces, car rentals, etc...

Anticipate guests’ needs and answer guest inquiries politely using a clear speaking voice.

Other tasks as assigned including, but not limited to laundry pick-up/drop-off, newspaper delivery, posting reader boards, polish carts, and answering bell desk telephone.

And any other tasks assigned by the Director of Front Office, and/or the Director of Hotel Operations or General Manager.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience: Prefer some guest service experience but will train

Certificates or Licenses: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. License checks will be conducted periodically.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to operate a bell cart

Considerable knowledge of the city and surrounding areas

Ability to memorize and perform Resort Standards, AAA diamond standards, and Mystery shopper standards

  • Communicates effectively: Speaks, listens and writes in a clear and effective manner
  • Professional Appearance: Exhibits an appearance appropriate for a three diamond hotel (Specific grooming standards are available for review)

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full time position. Actual hours may vary dependent on business needs. Attendance as scheduled is a critical element in all positions at The Scott Resort & Spa. Availability for weekends and holidays is essential.
